Sustainability Initiative

Sustainable technologies can help solve some of the world's most pressing problems by preserving and improving the world ecosystem through effective use of natural resources and expanding the use of renewable fuels.

The use of electric and hybrid vehicles on campus directly supports our University's Sustainability Initiative by reducing pollution and noise thus reducing maintenance costs and improving our environment.

Additionally, Fleet Services participates in the following activities:

Oil filter draining, crushing and recycling
Used oil, coolant and battery recycling
Extending oil and coolant drain intervals
Alternate block heating methodology which reduces power consumption
Green vehicle detailing chemicals
Use of Bio-based oils and lubricants
