Individual Therapy

Therapy is also referred to as talk therapy or psychotherapy, during which a therapist helps to make sense of an individual's concerns and to assist them in seeking resolution to their concerns.  Therapy has been shown to be most effective when there is a positive working relationship with one's therapist; when an individual has a desire and willingness to change; and when the individual takes steps to use therapeutic suggestions outside of appointments.

Therapy is a collaborative process through which the therapist and client work to establish goals for treatment and develops strategies to reach those goals.  Treatment is individualized, based on the therapist's approach and the individual's needs.
