University Health Services

The mission of University Health Services is to provide quality healthcare, psychological counseling, and healthcare education for the campus community in support of the Kent State University mission.

Welcome to University Health Services (UHS)

We are located in the DeWeese Health Center at 1500 Eastway Drive. Our facility is home to UHS and the College of Public Health research laboratory.

Staff & Services

We are here to help keep all Kent State students, faculty and staff healthy and safe. Our staff at UHS includes board certified physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed psychologists, pharmacists, physical therapists, and radiographers. University Health Services provides non-emergent outpatient care to all eligible students, faculty, and staff, including: examination and treatment for illness and minor injuries, women's health care, laboratory, x-ray, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and health education through all departments of UHS and under the Division of Student Affairs.

We accept all Kent State employee health plans and other major carriers. Self-pay rates are available for uninsured patients.

The Student Center Green, bustling with activity



The Great American Smokeout is a national event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and is traditionally held the third Thursday in November.  The event represents an opportunity for smokers to join millions of other smokers in avoiding cigarettes for 24 hours.  The Office of Health Promotion offers smoking cessation programs.  Contact the Office of Health Promotion for more information, 330-672-8266.
