Welcome to the Exploratory Advising Center! The Exploratory Advising Center is the
advising home for Exploratory students, post-undergraduate students, guest students
and non-degree seeking students.

Academic advising at Kent State University supports the teaching and learning mission
of the university by helping students understand the value of achieving their educational
goals.  Advising is an on-going partnership among students, advisors and the
university community. 

We Have Moved!

The Exploratory Advising Center is now located on the 5th Floor of the Library, Room 510.  

Important Spring Dates:

  • March 24-30 - Spring Break Recess
  • April 12 - 2nd Half Semester Course Withdraw Deadline
  • May 4 - Remembrance Day
  • May 5-10 - Final Exam Week

Career Counseling Available!

Are you stuck when it comes to making that major decision?  We have two excellent options for you:

The Career Services Center is an exceptional resource for your career and major exploration needs.  You can schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Services Counselor at 261 Schwartz by calling 330-672-2360.  Please see the Career Services Center website to learn more about their services. 

Career Counseling is also available in our office at the Exploratory Advising Center.  The Career Counselors available at this location specialize on addressing the developmental and psychological needs of decision making for college students.  Appointments are available on Tuesdays from 10am - 2pm and 3pm - 5pm and Wednesdays from 10am-12pm.  Please call 330-672-3676 to make an appointment.
