Benefits of Research Experience

Through conducting research or undertaking a creative project, undergraduates have a chance to gain experience, network with experts, and expand their skills that goes beyond the classroom.  Students engaging in research work closely with faculty to apply what they have learned through their studies, using research methods, to further their knowledge and abilities in a way that will make them more marketable in their fields.  In research, students are encouraged to use problem solving skills, analyze information, develop communication skills and use technology.  Research and creative projects rely upon innovation and imagination.
