Undergraduate Internships, Programs and Opportunities

There are many ways to become involved in undergraduate research at Kent State University. In addition to research programs, such as S.T.A.R.S. (a program for African American freshmen), or the McNair Program (first-generation, low income, undergraduate students, from groups underrepresented in graduate schools), students have the option of enrolling in individual investigation courses in their majors/subject areas, Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU), UMEB (Environmental Biology), or working with the Honors College Individual Honors Work Program (open to non-honors students).  Another option undergraduate students have is to look at open, posted research positions by faculty members conducting research. Further information on each of these research options are below.
