United Way
Welcome to Kent State University's United Way 2012-2013 Campaign
Welcome to Kent State University's United Way headquarters. Your visit proves that you share with me a sense of our university's deep commitment to supporting our larger community.
United Way services provide the much needed assistance to improve the education, income and health of our communities. That process begins at the most basic level of providing the food, housing and resources for our neighbors in need:
- $3.25 per pay can provide a child with after-school programming — programming that cultivates educational and career development, character development, health, life skills and physical fitness.
- $4 per pay can provide five pairs of shoes for children who would otherwise not be able to go to school in decent or properly fitting shoes.
- $8 per pay can provide 26 prescriptions for low-income residents.
- $1,000 annually will supply 680 hot meals for needy families.
- $1,000 annually will allow 18 office visits for low-income patients at our local medical clinic.
Supporting United Way services is easier than ever with our improved pledge opportunity via FlashLine. Please click on the link in the left-hand column for instructions on E-giving. You can also follow the link on this page to print out a pledge form.
Thank you in advance for demonstrating how much Kent State cares for our neighbors in need.
