She also practiced professionally for a number of years as a senior product designer and design development manager in Chicago, IL.
Jessica works in both print and interactive design, investigating how the reshaping of meaning and the delivery of information invite human participation. Her research in audio-visual remixing has been exhibited at FILE Electronic Language Festival (Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil), HASTAC 2013 (Toronto, Canada) and published in the journal Currents in Electronic Literacy. Additionally, her book and publication designs have won awards as part of juried exhibitions hosted by the College Book Art Association (San Francisco, CA) and the University & College Designers Association (Phoenix, AZ).
