2012 Back to School Blastoff will be taking place AUGUST 26, 2012 during Welcome Weekend

We are getting ready for the 2012-13 Academic Year!
2012 Back to School Blastoff will be taking place AUGUST 26, 2012 during Welcome Weekend.
This event is the big bang to the end of Destination Kent and Welcome Weekend. It is a great opportunity to advertise your group so students can become more familiar with who you are! To participate in Blastoff, you must submit the Agreement Form by AUGUST 20, 2012. Along with the Agreement, you must also submit a Sales and Solicitation form, which basically describes the activities you plan on doing. Even if you're just handing out flyers for upcoming meetings or events, this form is necessary and due by AUGUST 20, 2012. [Both documents are attached and may also be picked up from C.S.I. room 226 KSC].
Please note: table space is limited – spaces will be allocated as applications are received. Once all spaces are reserved organizations will be put on a wait list. Don’t delay.

Knitting for Those in Need weekly meetings
Mondays, FridaysTime: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Location: KSU Library "Fab Fourth" 4th floor
Join us to learn to knit, create warmth for our community, serve local homeless shelters, social service organizations and others in need. Our meetings are Mondays and Fridays, from 6:30 pm till 8:30 pm, on the 4th floor of the KSU Library. We teach loom knitting and needle knitting. Everyone is welcome! Tools and yarn are provided. We are dedicated to warm heads, warm necks and warm hearts.

2012 Distinguished Teaching Awards

Honor an unforgettable faculty member - submit a nomination for the Distinguished Teaching Award today!
Sponsored by the Kent State University Alumni Association, the Distinguished Teaching Award is the university’s most prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching in the classroom and a devotion to touching the lives of students. Qualified nominees include Kent State tenure track faculty who are currently employed by the university.
