Fall 2012 Spanish Creative Writing Workshop

Kent State University’s Modern and Classical Language Studies department, in collaboration with the Wick Poetry Center, will offer a Spanish Creative Writing Workshop taught by Dr. Patrick Gallagher, fall semester 2012. It will focus on three genres of writing in Spanish: poetry, creative nonfiction, and fiction. Exercises and workshops will provide students with the opportunity to develop their craft through guest poets and writers, discussions, and the revision of original work. This course is open to all students who have taken at least one 38000 level Spanish course or higher, or can demonstrate equivalent language skills. No creative writing background is necessary.
