Robert Brown
Sleepwalking with Mayakovsky
Robert Brown is a native of Portland, Oregon, and teaches at Kent State University, Trumbull Campus. He received a BS from Oregon State University, an MFA from University of Montana, and a PhD from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His poems have been published in many poetry magazines and anthologies, including Chariton Review, New Virginia Review, Quarterly West, and Poetry Northwest. He is coeditor, with Julie Brown, of Youngstown Poetry, and they also are coauthors of more than 10 children's books.
David Hassler
Sabishi: poems from japan
David Hassler is the author of two books of poems, most recently Red Kimono, Yellow Barn, for which he was awarded “Ohio Poet of the Year” in 2006. Hassler is also the author of the documentary book Growing Season: The Life of a Migrant Community with photographer Gary Harwood, which won both the Ohioana Book Award and the Carter G. Woodson Honor Book Award, as well as a finalist for the Great Lakes Book Award. Since 1995 Hassler has served as an artist-in-residence in schools and community centers throughout Ohio. Currently, he is the Wick Poetry Center director at Kent State University. He lives with his wife and two children in Kent, Ohio.

Mary Ann Samyn is pursuing an MFA on a Henry Hoyns Fellowship at the University of Virginia. her poems have appeared in several literary magazines, including The Lullwater Review, The Laurel Review, Rag Mag, and Context South.
Anthony Libby
The Secret Turning of the Earth
Anthony Libby, professor of English at Ohio State University, wrote his first poem at the age of 45. Since then, his poetry has been published in Antioch Review, Mid-American Review, Southern Review, and Birmingham Poetry Review.
Robert Miltner
Against the Simple
Robert Miltner teaches English and creative writing at Kent State University Stark where he directs the Enormous Room Reading Series. His essays, reviews, poems, and stories have been published by academic and small presses in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, England, and India. He is the author of three limited edition artists' collaborations and six chapbooks of poems. Miltner is a founding member and co-president of the International Raymond Carver Society.
Jeanne Bryner
Breathless
Jeanne Bryner is a registered nurse at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio, and a Kent State University English major. Her poems have appeared in several literary magazines, including Hiram Poetry Review, Poetry East, Prairie Schooner, The Sun, and West Branch, and in the anthology A Gathering of Poets (Kent State University Press, 1992).
Lou Suarez

Lou Suarez, professor of arts and humanities at Lorain County Community College, received his BS and MA from Kent State University. His Poems have appeared in Black River Review, Parallax, Plainsongs, Ship of Fools, and Harvest.
Joe Bonomo

Joe Bonomo received an MA and PhD from Ohio State University. His poems and criticisms have appeared in numerous literary journals and magazines, including The Ohio Review, Colorado Review, Pequod, New Delta Review, and Quarter after Eight.
Susan Neale

Susan Neale has an MA and MFA from Ohio State University, where she received the OSU Alumni Award for Poetry (1992, 1993) and the Alumni Award for Fiction (1993). her work has been published in OSU Alumni Magazine and New Virginia Review.
Stephen Frech
Toward Evening and the Day Far Spent
Stephen Frech received his BA from Northwestern University and his MFA from Washington University. He was the 1994–95 Elliston Poetry Writing Fellow at the University of Cincinnati, where he is currently finishing a PhD in English. His poems have appeared in the Georgia Review, Ascent, Spoon River Poetry Review, Blue Unicorn, and other publications.
Kate Hancock

Kate Hancock was born in Denver and raised on the plains of northeastern Colorado. She earned her BA from Morehead State University and her MA and PhD from Ohio University, where she currently works as an assistant to the president. Her poems have appeared in the New Virginia Review, Green Mountains Review, Crazy River, Kentucky Poetry Review, The Windsor Review, and other publications.
