Take Back the Night is an international march and rally that started in the 1970s as a protest and direct action against rape and other forms of sexualized violence and sexualized subordination of women. This provided symbolism for women's individual walk through darkness and a united front against fear and violence. In addition, Kent State University has been chosen by the Take Back the Night Foundation to join nine locations around the United States in a candlelit vigil for the '10 Points of Light to Take Back the Night' to unite in support of survivors and victims of sexual violence.
There will be a Posters and Banner Making Session: Sunday April 21 from 7 - 8 PM @ The Women's Center
