The Writing Commons typically opens for scheduled appointments the third week of classes during the Fall and Spring semesters. It Closes the Friday of the last full week of courses. We are open during summer session, but not intersession or breaks. When classes are cancelled on the Kent campus, we close.

Second Week of Classes Walk-In Week

The Writing Commons opens the second week of classes for non-scheduled, walk-in appointments in the fall and spring semesters.  We open for our full schedule of appointments starting week 3 during fall and spring semesters.

 

Finals Week

We are not open during final exam week.

Location

The Writing Commons is located on the 4th floor of the University Library, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio campus. Simply take a left out of the stairwell or two lefts off the elevator to find us.
