About Sending a Draft to the the Online Writing Lab (OWL)

Our Online Writing Lab allows you to send a draft of your work to one of our tutors for feedback.  If you fill out our webform completely, you will receive quality feedback on your revision concerns.  

Use the link below to submit a draft of your work to the Writing Commons along with some information about the assignment and a description of your revision concerns. If all the information we need is in your online submission, our receptionist will schedule your draft for feedback from the next available OWL-certified tutor.You will receive an e-mail letting you know when your draft is scheduled, and your feedback will be e-mailed back to you at the end of the scheduled time. You do not need to do anything further or to come to the Writing Commons at all!

Our Online Writing Lab appointment slots fill up just as quickly as face-to-face, in person appointment slots.

What You Will Need to Submit

• Your draft ready to copy and paste into our webform.
• Information about your class (Course Title, Course Number, Instructor's Name).
• Information about your assignment and what you are trying to accomplish in the draft.
• Responses to all the questions on our webform.  Your tutor needs this information in order to assist you.
