Kent State Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training and Certification

Improve processes. Operate more efficiently. Save money.

Smoother processes, greater efficiency and cost savings are just a few of the advantages that will make your organization more competitive when you implement Lean and Six Sigma continual improvement principles. Lean techniques eliminate wasteful activities, while Six Sigma is a disciplined method for meeting customers’ expectations and eliminating defects in any process. Investing in Lean Six Sigma training is the beginning of a new way of doing business. A commitment to implementing these methodologies and tools creates a culture of operational excellence. In the end, you’ll achieve bottom-line results from the projects your Green and Black Belts undertake and you’ll transform your organization into a more efficient, customer-focused one.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and certification is offered in convenient locations:

North Canton, Ohio – Fall 2009

I was recently given the challenge of deploying Lean Office within our organization.  This began with my department (Sales Operations) and we were the first group outside of the Manufacturing area to achieve 3S certification.  Since I had no formal training in Lean Six Sigma, I looked for opportunities and found Kent State’s Lean Six Sigma Black Belt program. At first I was hesitant to enroll because I do not have an engineering background.  However, several colleagues who had previous experience with the Kent State facilitator, Bob Skillman, encouraged me to “go for it,” so I registered.

I have to admit that there were occasions during the four weeks that I felt like I was in over my head; but there was never a doubt in my mind that I would finish and certify as a Black Belt.  The program provided me with proven, methodical problem-solving tools that will benefit me in my new role as Business Analyst. I would encourage others in any line of work to “go for it” if they are serious about driving continuous improvement in their organizations.
