As an Air Force trained meteorologist, Nicole Mitchell holds degrees in Speech-Communications and Law. She has worked as a television meteorologist for the Weather Channel and Al Jazeera America, in addition to other meteorology roles nationwide.
She served as a hurricane expert, travel analyst and aviation expert for the Weather Channel, along with broadcast forecasting. She has been interviewed as a weather expert by numerous media outlets including WeatherNation, CNN, FOX and CBS.
Mitchell served with the National Guard as a forecaster for flying operations, including real-world deployments and missions. In her current role, she’s a Weather Officer for the Hurricane Hunters and flies into tropical systems including Katrina, Harvey, and Irma to determine storm center and intensity.
This event is open to all aeronautics students, enthusiasts, and professionals; pilots, crew members, flight instructors, mechanics, air traffic controllers, aviation managers, aerospace engineers, professors, and the general public. If you enjoy aviation, this is the place to be!
