The Aeronautics Safety Conference connects students and aeronautics industry experts in an all-day networking event filled with lectures and Q & A sessions.

Join us for Aeronautics Safety Conference to hear industry experts talk about their experiences flying and operating in a high-paced environment. Learn about how they guarantee human and aircraft safety. Light refreshments will be available. This is a great opportunity for networking and is free to attend.

Keynote Speaker  

Nicole Mitchell

As an Air Force trained meteorologist, Nicole Mitchell holds degrees in Speech-Communications and Law. She has worked as a television meteorologist for the Weather Channel and Al Jazeera America, in addition to other meteorology roles nationwide.

She served as a hurricane expert, travel analyst and aviation expert for the Weather Channel, along with broadcast forecasting. She has been interviewed as a weather expert by numerous media outlets including WeatherNation, CNN, FOX and CBS.

Mitchell served with the National Guard as a forecaster for flying operations, including real-world deployments and missions. In her current role, she’s a Weather Officer for the Hurricane Hunters and flies into tropical systems including Katrina, Harvey, and Irma to determine storm center and intensity.
