Healthy Minds Survey

This Sunday, March 14, all students at Kent State University will receive an invitation to participate in a survey about student mental health and well-being, called the Healthy Minds Survey. This nationally recognized survey examines service utilization and related issues among undergraduate and graduate students.

The confidential information gathered from this survey reflects students’ day-to-day experiences on campus, and offers insight into both your struggles and successes. By participating in this survey, you will provide Kent State with valuable information that will be used to inform policy, practice, and funding for programs and services on campus, thus bettering student life.

  • To advocate for mental health services and programs on campus
  • To evaluate existing programs
  • To assess need for programs and services
  • To raise awareness of mental health and campus resources
  • To strengthen grant applications for additional funding of mental health services

This year, more than ever, we hope you’ll consider sharing your perspective. We cannot make these improvements without hearing from all of you. The online survey takes about 25 minutes to complete.

Completing this survey will also enter you into a drawing to win a $250 scholarship or an Apple computer.

More information about the participation incentives will be included in the email you’ll receive on March 14.

If you miss this Sunday’s email/invite to participate, there will be additional reminders emailed to you. You can also search your inbox for “Healthy Minds Survey.” The survey will be open until April 2

Questions regarding the survey may be directed to Deric Kenne, Associate Professor at dkenne@kent.edu and/or 330-672-7105.
