Race Series


The new Run the World Race Series is a collaborative effort between the colleges and regional campuses within Kent State University and the Office of Global Education to raise money for study abroad student scholarships. The inaugural Series will consist of the third annual Run the World 5K held on Kent State’s Kent Campus and the second annual Run the World – Stark at the Stark Campus in North Canton, OH.



Over the past two years the Run the World events have been able to provide $21,000 in scholarships for students to study abroad.

The third annual Run the World 5K will take place Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 8:30 am. The start and finish line will be at Risman Plaza (in between the Student Center and University Library) at Kent State.

Run the World – Stark will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 8:30 am. The start and finish line will be at the Recreation and Wellness Center at Kent State – Stark.


Kent State students: Run the World registration has student prices! $45 for the Race Series and $25 for each individual race, even on race day! The discount will be applied during the registration process.

Kent State Students:

Registration for each race will also include you in a chance to win one of multiple $1,000 scholarships toward a study abroad experience. The study abroad program must be a Kent State or exchange program. See the Office of Global Education to determine if your interested program qualifies. Students must register for each race to be qualified.
