Alcohol Workshops

University Health Services - Office of Health Promotion offers a comprehensive Alcohol Awareness Workshop for individuals referred by the Office of Student Conduct and Student Legal Services. Our workshops are not limited to individuals enrolled at Kent State University.

The Alcohol Awareness Workshop will focus on social expectations of alcohol use and options about drinking. Participants will be given a workbook to complete as the workshop progresses. The workbook, “CHOICES About Alcohol”, is published by The Change Companies® and covers various aspects of alcohol use and alcohol abuse prevention. Throughout the workshop we will also discuss possible consequences of and the risks involved with alcohol misuse.

Each workshop is 2 ½ hours in length and is held at University Health Services in Conference Room A (Rm 11), located on the lower level of the DeWeese Health Center on the Kent Campus. Further information, including directions to the workshop can be found on the Workshop Participant Information Sheet (PDF).
