Admissions Operations and Systems (AOS)

AOS oversees the functional operations of the Admissions modules within the Banner ERP system, including the admissions online application system. AOS serves as data custodian for the admissions data and documents within Banner, Cognos and Application Xtender, and ensures the data integrity of entered admissions through developed reports, automated edits, and monitored systems processes.

AOS coordinates and maintains all related tables, access approvals, processing of XML college transcripts, and testing within these connected systems. This unit is tasked with the continual review of the efficiency and integration of related student systems to develop best practices, system controls, and process improvements supporting the 12 admitting offices. AOS serves as the point-of-contact and liaison with the Division of Information Services for systems troubleshooting, upgrades, review of new student and admissions technologies, and when implementing new university or state initiatives affecting the university's applicant and student populations.
