Kent State University was founded in 1910 as a teacher-training school. Today, Kent is a public research university with eight campuses located throughout northeast Ohio and study sites in New York City, New York; Florence, Italy; and Geneva, Switzerland.

Kent State University enrolls more than 37,000 students including approximately 1,500 international students, which is 5% of our total student population and slightly higher than the U.S. average.
