Meet Our 2016-2017 Distinguished Undergraduate Advisor

Karl Macura from the College of Arts & Sciences was selected as the 2016-2017 Dr. Terry Kuhn Distinguished Undergraduate Advisor.

Karl consistently demonstrates a commitment to helping students be successful both inside and outside of the classroom, and it was clear from the student nominations that he  has made a lasting impact on their experience at Kent State University.  We thank Karl for his commitment to student success and we celebrate this achievement with him!

“When I first adopted Integrative Studies as my major, I was filled with questions and confusions. Karl immediately calmed my worries and explicated every concern I had. I knew I was in good hands by the end of our first interaction, and he has remained just as timely and informed in the two and a half years he has been my advisor.”

“Karl was an amazing mentor and support during my undergraduate student career and on to my graduate program. I feel that Karl really cared about my schooling, my future career, and my life in general. He gave me the biggest boost of confidence every time I saw him. Every time I had an appointment with Karl we would catch up on movies we've seen and books we've read between talking about school. He took extra time to remember little things in my life and follow up with me to make sure everything turned out okay. I always knew that he cared about my success and my dreams as well as how I was doing that day”

Congratulations to Karl Macura and the College of Arts & Sciences!
