Current students across our eight-campus system have the opportunity to recognize the outstanding contributions of an academic or faculty advisor.

The Dr. Terry Kuhn Distinguished Undergraduate Advising Award is presented annually to a full-time academic advisor or faculty advisor who demonstrates a passion for student success both inside and beyond the classroom.

A Distinguished Advisor is one who fosters an inclusive and empowering advising relationship that models NACADA's Core Values and Kent State University's Advising Guidelines

 

To be eligible for nomination, an advisor must:

Be an academic or faculty advisor at Kent State University for at least one year.

Model the NACADA Core Values for academic advisors.

Show proven initiative and/or leadership within their advising unit.

(For purpose of the award, summer sessions are considered one semester and the academic year extends from the beginning of fall semester through summer session of the following calendar year)
