Aircraft availability is subject to change due to weather, mechanical, or other unforeseen circumstances. Times for aircraft rides are approximate and include taxi time on the ground.

Yankee Air Museum, Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress "Yankee Lady"
Come join us for a memorable flight on the historic Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress “Yankee Lady.” This aircraft type was arguably the most influential heavy bomber of WWII and instrumental in the Allied victory! The flight will depart the Kent State University Airport (1G3), Andrew Patton field for awe inspiring flight in the local area. Experience the power of four radial engines, delivering 1200 Hp each, taking you aloft on this exciting flight! Ride cost is $450 for a 30 minute flight. Flights on the B-17 planned for Saturday, September 9, 2017, and Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Buffalo Heritage Squadron, North American SNJ-4, Commemorative Air Force
Take a historic flight in a North American SNJ-4, an advanced trainer aircraft that many U.S. Navy WWII pilots used during their flight training. Enjoy the beauty of the aircraft and the scenery during a flight in the local area. Show Special Ride Price of $295 for a half-hour flight!
Kent State University Precision Flight Team
The Kent State University Precision Flight Team will be conducting the plane rides in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Proceeds go to support the flight team’s competition in the Regional Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference (SAFECON), held each October, and subsequently to the National SAFECON held each May where the flight team competes against the top 30 teams from across the nation. The Kent State Precision Flight Team is a self-funded student organization at Kent State and depends on donations and fund raising for equipment, materials, uniforms, registration fees, and travel expenses for their competitions. The plane rides are a major fund-raising event for the team each year. Thank you for your support.

Cost: $30 per person;or $85 for 3 people* (*Weight restrictions may apply)
Limited online registration was available. Unforeseen circumstances happen, so we limited online registration to just a few slots out of the total slots available for each timeframe. If you register online, please be prepared to screenshot on your mobile device or print screen and bring that with you to the separate online-registration table. Online registration is now closed. Cleveland Soaring Society Glider Rides for Sunday & Raffle
Cleveland Soaring Society will be at the event scheduling rides in their glider for Sunday, September 10, 2017. Tickets are $100 for a 2000' flight. Aircraft is released from tow plane at an altitude that should result in being airborne for about 15 minutes/2000 feet. Don't forget to grab your raffle tickets, too! There will be a raffle for a 3000' flight at $5 per ticket. Regularly priced rides flown out of Geauga County Airport (7G8) at a later date will be for sale as well. Tickets and reservations can be made at the Fair on Saturday.
Take a Balloon Ride with Fun Makers, Inc.!
Fun Makers, Inc. will be offering balloon rides. Ride cost is $189.00 per person (normally $250). Each of the two balloons carries one pilot plus six people. Call Dennis Welser at 330-633-3288 to schedule a balloon ride. Passengers need to be at the airport by 6:30am that Saturday, September 9th. Departure is at sunrise, 7:00am. Tickets will also be available at the event, but it is best to sign up early because space is limited!
