Pan-African Theatre Ensemble

Artistic Director, D. Amy-Rose Forbes-Erickson, PhD.

The Pan-African Theatre Ensemble is a core theatre group started in the fall 2016 by Dr. Forbes-Erickson to promote Black theatre in the United States and around the world with Pan-African aesthetics. The goal of the Pan-African Theatre Ensemble is to produce engaging, inspiring, experimental, and eclectic theatre and performance styles from the Pan-African world, including the continent of Africa, the United States, the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. The PATE offers opportunities to connect with people from various backgrounds and cultures, and chances to travel and perform at festivals and events – USA, Caribbean, and Africa.

PATE meetings are held every first Fridays of the month at 4:30pm during fall and spring semesters in the African Community Theatre (ORH room 230). Please contact Dr. Forbes-Erickson for further info at (330)672-0082 or dforbese@kent.edu.
