Please join us in congratulating PhD candidate Morgan Chaney on receiving the University Fellowship!
"The University Fellowship is awarded annually to advanced doctoral students to recognize excellent scholarship and research potential."
Morgan is already an impressive scholar, with SEVEN peer-reviewed papers already published in major journals, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and Molecular and Phylogenetic Evolution. He has been active in terms of grantsmanship, having secured both internal and external awards to conduct research. Morgan is also successful in teaching (including Human Gross Anatomy at the KSU College of Podiatric Medicine) and service (e.g., co-Chair of the Student committee for the American Society of Primatologists, Organizer of the 31st annual KSU Graduate Research Symposium, Member of the KSU Student Technology Panel, Graduate Student Engagement Work Group, and more). In addition, Morgan is always ready and willing to lend a fellow student or faculty a hand in the lab, in class, or in the hallways.
Morgan is a rising star, who has already mastered all of the core qualifications of an excellent academic and colleague. Congratulations, Morgan! We all look forward to seeing what you will accomplish next!
