Kent State University is dedicated to a transparent process as we work to advance our commitment to anti-racism.

This website will be continuously updated as progress continues on the recommendations created by the Anti-Racism Task Force in spring 2021. Progress on the demands submitted by Black United Students in 2020 is also noted on this site.

    Black United Students Action Steps

    Since 1968, Black United Students (BUS) has provided leadership and advocacy to help make Kent State a better institution. In Fall 2020, the organization worked with the university to provide invaluable assistance in helping carve a new path towards equity and justice. See progress to date.

    Kent State’s collaborative 195 member anti-racism task force is comprised of students, faculty and staff from all campuses. Out of these 14 subcommittees, 100 goals have been identified to enhance inclusivity, diversity and equity across our campuses. Monitor Kent State's progress toward these goals.
