Join us for a lecture by artist Alex Gartelmann on Wednesday, March 8 at 5 p.m. at the Center for the Visual Arts. The lecture will take place in room 165 at CVA and is FREE and open to the public. Gartelmann is a visiting artist in Sculpture and often collaborates with the School of Art's sculpture and expanded media professor, Jonas Sebura.

Alex Gartelmann was born and raised in the the rolling hills and sprawling suburbs of North Jersey. He received his BFA from the University of The Arts in Philadelphia, and his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. HIs work has been shown widely including exhibitions at The John Michael Kohler Art Center, Sheboygan WI, Antenna Gallery New Orleans, The Clough Hanson Gallery, Memphis TN, and Slow, Chicago IL among others. He is one half of the collaborative, Sebura&Gartelmann, with Jonas Sebura and lives and works in Fox Point, WI where he is currently the artist in resident and collections specialist for the Mary Nohl Artist Environment.
