Join us for our next installment for the First Friday Lecture series with ceramic artist, Giselle Hicks at noon on Friday, October 6.  Originally from California, Hicks received her BFA from Syracuse University and MFA from NYSCC of Ceramics at Alfred University in New York. She has participated in various artist-in-residence programs including the Anderson Ranch Art Center, the Arts/Industry Program at the Kohler Company, The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, The Greenwich House Pottery and The Archie Bray Foundation. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Belger Arts Center in Kansas City, The John Michael Kohler Art Center and The Bellevue Art Museum and the Southwest School of Art. Hicks is currently Studio Coordinator of Ceramics at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Village, CO.

Additionally, Giselle will be giving ceramics demonstrations in the ceramics studio on Thursday, October 5.  

11:00 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.  Demonstration in room CVA 007 (open to public)  

2:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Demonstration in room CVA 007 and critiques with BFA students (demo open to public)
