Jennifer Ling Datchuk - Made-Up with Danny Volk interview
Join us for a live interview with artist and BFA alumna, Jennifer Ling Datchuk at Kent State's Center for the Visual Arts on Saturday, October 14 at 1 pm.
Jennifer will be interviewed in front of a live audience by Danny Volk for his artist interview series Made-Up with Danny Volk. Made-Up with Danny Volk is an artist interview series in which Volk asks artists questions while they create art on his face using everyday makeup. Danny’s face is revealed at the end of the interview, creating a fun and exciting climax to the informative conversation. Local band Comfort Clouds will be playing before the interview.
Jennifer Ling Datchuk is a ceramic sculptor and artist born in Warren, Ohio and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Her mother came to this country in the early 1970s from China; her father born and raised in Ohio to Russian and Irish immigrant parents. She holds an MFA in Artisanry from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BFA in Crafts from Kent State University. She is currently residing in San Antonio, Texas, where she maintains a studio, teaching practice and small design line of ceramic objects for the home. Jennifer is the recipient of the 2017 Emerging Voices Award from the American Craft Council.
