"Mugathon" Ceramic Cup Sale

The ceramics program at the Kent State University School of Art, in conjunction with Ceramics Club, will host a unique two-day cup sale Dec. 9 and 10. The sale will take place 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9 and 12:30 - 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 on the first floor of the Kent Student Center.
All works for sale will be products of the Nov. 13-14 “Mugathon,” a marathon creative event during which participating artists make ceramic mugs for a continuous 24-hour period. Mugathon contributors will include Kent State students and alumni, along with other local artists and ceramics enthusiasts. The Mugathon begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13 in the ceramics studio of the Center for the Visual Arts (325 Terrace Drive, Kent, Ohio).
Proceeds from the December cup sale will help cover travel expenses for Ceramics Club members attending the National Council for Education on the Ceramic Arts annual conference, to take place March 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri.
