@Infinitum - Opening Reception

The Kent State University Museum will present “@Infinitum,” a cross-cultural and technologically enhanced art exhibition, from July 26, 2015, to January 10, 2016. “@Infinitum” includes work by Kent State University faculty members in art, fashion design and visual communication design, representing both Kent and Regional Campuses. The museum will host an opening reception for the exhibition Thursday, October 1, 5-7 p.m.

The Kent State University School of Art Galleries will display “Fortuitous Nature: The Textiles of Luella ‘Waddy’ Williams” at the Downtown Gallery September 3-26. There will be an opening reception September 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. Both the gallery and reception are free and open to the public. Luella Williams was a textile artist active in Ithaca, New York, during the 1950s and ’60s. Her artworks were primarily weavings that incorporated found or harvested plant materials.

Tiger Legacy: Playing for Your City - Opening Reception

Kent State University’s School of Art Gallery will present “Tiger Legacy: Playing for Your City,” a display of work from the “Tiger Legacy” photographic storytelling project, from September 3 to 25. The “Tiger Legacy” project ( is a visual chronicle of high school football culture in Massillon, Ohio. The reception for “Playing for Your City” will take place 5-7 p.m. September 10.
