Kent Blossom Art

Kent Blossom Art is a series of two-week intensive art workshops conducted each summer at KSU by resident School of Art faculty and an exciting array of visiting artists. Each workshop is specific to one medium, and this year we're offering workshops in painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, and textiles.

Kent Blossom Art (KBA) provides undergraduate and graduate students with two weeks of focused learning, experimentation and creation under the guidance of experienced artists from around the country. Students may continue their explorations of the medium most familiar to them; experienced artists are equally encouraged to discover new modes of creating.

We are proud to invite an outstanding roster of visiting artists to complement the instructional insights of our resident faculty. Visiting artists also present public talks on their work, giving KBA participants and the greater public an opportunity to learn more about contemporary issues and ideas in the visual arts.

Kent Blossom Art workshops are typically scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday for two full weeks. The dates of each workshop are listed below.

We are pleased to welcome you to the 2017 Kent Blossom Art program!
