Davin Ebanks Receives Silver Heritage Cross

Davin Ebanks, assistant lecturer in glass (and Kent State M.F.A. alumnus), has been named a recipient of the Silver Heritage Cross, awarded by the Cayman National Cultural Foundation for creativity in the arts. The Silver Cross recognizes artists who have consistently preserved and celebrated Caymanian cultural heritage in their creative practice over the course of 10 years or more. Recipients are first nominated, then chosen by a panel. It is considered one of the highest honors for a Caymanian citizen.

Ebanks, who has long played a significant role in the Caymanian art scene, will be honored for his efforts at the 22nd National Arts & Culture Awards ceremony, on Feb. 25, 2016 during Cayfest ’16. To learn more about Davin Ebanks, visit the artist's website.
