Faculty and Alumnus Featured in Making Your Mark

Three School of Art faculty and one alumnus are being featured in the Akron Art Museum exhibition “Making Your Mark.” This exhibition features art nine artists living and working in Northeast Ohio. The artworks are contextualized by the artists’ own words, glimpses into their studios, and tools of their craft. The exhibition features artwork by full-time faculty Taryn McMahon, associate professor of print media and photography, and Andrea Myers, assistant professor of sculpture and expanded media at the Kent State Stark campus, as well as part-time professor of photography, Christine Zuercher. Alumnus Micah Kraus (B.A. Art Education ’99, M.A. Printmaking ’01) is also included in the exhibition. Interviews with the artists are available to view on the Akron Art Museum website. “Making Your Mark” will be on view through Mar. 14, 2021.
