School of Art Undergrads Recognized at Research Symposium

Studio Art undergraduate students, Mary Kay Palazzo and Katelynn Iacianci placed second and first respectively in the Art/Fashion category for the Undergraduate Research Symposium at Kent State University. Ms. Palazzo’s research focused on combining sensory learning principles with contemporary jewelry in order to prompt engagement between a piece of jewelry and its wearer.  Ms. Iacianci and her research partner in theatre, Alary Sutherland, created a project titled “Stonewall 50+: Building the Wall.”

Undergraduate students attending any of Kent State's eight campuses and representing any major are eligible to participate.  The annual symposium was held on April 9, 2019.
