Study Abroad Scholarships for Spring 2018
There are two different scholarships and you may apply to both.

Denise Rhea-Adams Scholarship
Three awards of $1,000 are available for any School of Art majors participating in the Florence Study Abroad program in Spring 2018.
To be eligible you must be enrolled in one of the two studio classes taught by Isabel Farnsworth.
Qualified applicants will be a Junior or Senior with a minimum 3.5 GPA
Submit a 500 to 750 word statement in which you introduce yourself and your program of study. Tell us how studying abroad will impact your current studies and benefit your future goals.
You may also submit supplemental materials such as digital images of studio work, research sample of no more than two pages, or an abstract of a lesson plan no more than two pages. Submit your application by following the link below.
School of Art Study Abroad Scholarship
The School of Art in partnership with the College of the Arts is providing $4600 in scholarships of varying amounts between $500 and $1500* for the Florence study abroad program in Spring 2018.
*There will be one $600 award given in honor of Craig Lucas.
To be eligible you must have a 3.0 or better GPA and be a fulltime undergraduate or graduate student in the School of Art who is enrolling the full semester in Florence in the following courses.
ARTH 42095 Italian Art from Giotto to Bernini (1300-1600)
And one of the following courses with Isabel Farnsworth:
ARTS 44095 Drawing in the Expanded Field
ARTS 44095 Monotype Printmaking
Qualified applicants will submit a 500 to 750 word statement in which you introduce yourself and your program of study. Tell us how studying abroad will impact your current studies and benefit your future goals.
In addition to the statement you will need to submit one of the following:
- Digital portfolio of 5 – 10 images of studio work presented in a single PDF or PowerPoint file
- An abstract of a research paper no more than two pages in length
- An abstract of a lesson plan no more than two pages in length
