Transfer Students
Students transferring from another institution should confirm that all official transcripts of their college work have been sent directly to the Kent State University Admissions Office.
Students should then schedule a Transfer Kent State (TKS) orientation appointment via the TKS office here: https://www.kent.edu/tks The date you choose to register for is the day you will have your virtual academic advising appointment. Advising appointments are scheduled 48 hours in advance of your TKS date, so it is highly recommended to choose a date in which you have the most availability between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Appointments usually last between 60-90 minutes for transfer students.
A portfolio review with faculty may also be needed to determine where, in the sequence of foundation courses, the student has already met articulated goals and where further coursework should begin.
