Articulation Agreements are formal agreements/partnerships between Kent State and another college, university, or institution, documenting the transfer policies for a specific academic program or degree.

Articulation agreements document a pathway between Kent State and the other institution and their academic programs. The agreements typically have an expiration date of two to three years from the time of initiation. The benefit to students include the ability to follow very specific course plans in order to avoid taking courses that are not applicable to their intended degree program.

The formalized process for Articulation Agreements begins with completion of the Certification of Curriculum Proposal form and Articulation Agreement template and concludes once the agreement has been reviewed, finalized, and approved by all parties.

For departments interested in initiating an articulation agreement, please contact the Office of Alternative Credit and Articulation Agreements at 330-672-3743 or by emailing Johanna Pionke. Please reference “Articulation Agreement” in the subject line.
