Elizabeth Emery - Artist Lecture
Join us for an artist talk with Elizabeth Emery, visiting artist in sculpture, on Friday, April 14. The lecture will take place at 12:00 p.m. in room 165 at the Center for the Visual Art, 325 Terrace Drive in Kent. All lectures are free and open to the public.
Elizabeth Emery is a Cleveland-based artist working in mixed media sculpture and ceramics. Her work has been presented in Cleveland at MOCA, William Busta Gallery, Sculpture Center, Spaces Gallery and Zygote Press. She has also shown her work in Alaska, Slovakia, China and Korea. In 2015, Emery received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award and in 2011 she won the Hedy and Michael Fawcett Prize for Visual Arts from Syracuse University. Prior to moving to Cleveland, Emery raced bicycles professionally for ten years, traveling all over the world and throughout the United States.
