Uncharted Histories

Seeing The Forest, Seeing The Trees
Moko Fukuyama is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice entails sculpture, installation, performance and film. Fukuyama will present the evolution of her work between 2016 and 2022, as well as her current artistic endeavors. Her discussion will center on the outsider-looking-in perspectives that inform her work – as a native of Japan immersed in American culture, Fukuyama’s art contends with the boundaries between foreigner and citizen, visitor and resident. Co-sponsored by the Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander Faculty and Staff Alliance (AAAPI FASA) and the KSU Research Council.
