First Friday Art Lecture - Monique Martin

Printmaking as Installation and Sculpture: A presentation of printmaking installation and sculptural printmaking, including 18,500 silkscreened paper butterflies, 3,000 linocut and silkscreened paper dandelions, and a human-sized beehive which are currently traveling to public galleries across Canada. Her works push the boundaries of standard printmaking: from enormous-scale printmaking, to installation-based printmaking, to working with three dimensions in printmaking.
