Join us for an artist talk by visiting artist, Mark Fox, at noon in room 165 at the Center for the Visual Arts.  Fox is a mixed-media artist and the juror for the Stratosphere juried art show, a competition for undergraduates at Kent State University that awards students with cash prizes.  Stratosphere is on view at the Downtown Gallery (141 E. Main St.) from April 20 – May 5, 2017. 

Mark Fox was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1963. He received a BFA from Washington University, St. Louis in 1985, and an MFA in painting from Stanford University in 1988. His work was recently included in the Intersections: Artists Master Line and Space exhibition at the Akron Art Museum. Fox’s work has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the country, including exhibitions at the Norton Museum of Art, Hiram Butler Gallery, Josh Liner Gallery, the Museum of Arts and Design and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. His work is in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Pennsylvania. Mark Fox lives and works in New York.
