Signs of Love: A Cabaret

A concert of contemporary musical theatre songs which incorporated American Sign Language (ASL).

This innovative work was submitted as a FlashGrant proposal by theatre major Abbey Matye.  The project allowed theatre students to work alongside ASL students who were exploring interpretation for the stage.  The final production incorporated 15 songs performed in voice and in American Sign Language.

Sound Design & Composition Studio Collaboration

Theatre & Dance sound design majors worked together with a music composition major from the School of Music to produce professional grade recordings of experimental compositional pieces which will be used for the underscoring  of the School of Theatre & Dance's spring 2017 production of Macbeth.  These student sound designers and the composer worked together to come up with the notation and arrangement for various pieces. The end result was quality sounding material for use in Macbeth and for future Theatre & Dance productions.
