Apply to join the College of the Arts Dean's Student Advisory Council!

About the Dean's Student Advisory Council

The Dean's Student Advisory Council is comprised of one undergraduate student representative and one graduate student representative from each School in the College of the Arts, including the School of Art, School of Music, School of Fashion Design and Merchandising, and the School of Theatre and Dance. The Undergraduate Student Senate representative for the College of the Arts is also a member.

The Council meets twice a month from September through April. One session is with the Dean of the College of the Arts to cultivate a relationship between the Dean’s office and students within the schools. Discussion items often focus on upcoming events within the College, building a sense of community, and sharing student concerns within the College of the Arts. The second session provides the Council a time to develop programming and move their initiatives forward.
