Kent State Scholarships
Internal Scholarships:
There are over 700 scholarships offered by various Kent State University departments. The Student Financial Aid Online Scholarship Search is a database that contains the most recent scholarship information available to Kent State students.
To use the Scholarship Search, students complete a short profile and are then presented with a list of scholarships for which they may be eligible to apply. Each scholarship description will provide the student with eligibility criteria, the application deadline date, and a link to an online application, a printable application, or information on where to find more information about a specific scholarship program.
External Scholarships:
There are several online scholarship search programs available to students to assist you in finding scholarship opportunities outside of Kent State. It is important to realize that these databases only identify scholarships that the student would potentially be qualified to apply for. The student must follow up on their own to actually submit a scholarship application to the appropriate agency or sponsor. Some reputable search engines include:
Scholarship helpful tips:
- Students should visit the online Scholarship Search often. It is constantly being updated with new information and opportunities.
- Be aware of deadline dates. Exceptions are not made for late applications.
- Don’t be in a hurry when completing an application. Take your time when writing scholarship essays. Make sure you are answering the question being asked and/or addressing the topic you were given. Be sure to use spell check!
