Rising Scholars Fund - Regional students may face many barriers, including generational poverty, lack of role models and insufficient academic preparation. The Rising Scholars program works to help Ashtabula area students, beginning in the seventh grade, find a path toward higher education and careers. Scholars are mentored by college students from Kent State Ashtabula and participate in year-round workshops that expose them to mentors, community leaders, businesses, organizations and educators who want them to succeed.
Ashtabula Transformation Fund - Bright, engaged and interactive campus spaces can have a profound impact on a student’s ability to learn. Driven by the Students First philosophy, renovations and revitalizations of spaces will result in a comprehensive 21st century campus – modernizing classrooms and laboratories, improving safety and accessibility and creating student-centric spaces where collaboration and research can take place.
Last Dollar Scholarship Fund - Supporting students when they experience unexpected financial hardships can make the difference between a student earning a degree or not. Small grants are awarded through this program to help prevent personal or financial emergencies from breaking a student’s academic momentum.
Dean’s Development Fund - Gifts made to support students, programs, faculty and staff have a broad impact on our campus and area community and provide support in the areas of greatest need. These gifts make transformative learning experiences possible for students, advance research for our faculty and provide opportunities.
