
Deborah Bice, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Bice is the 2010 recipient of The Kent State University Distinguished Teaching Award. In 2001, she was also awarded a post doctoral fellowship to The University of Edinburgh, Scotland. She earned her Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in Medieval and Renaissance Literature and her MA from John Carroll University, She has served as Kent State Ashtabula English coordinator since 2002.
She loves teaching core composition courses as well as Shakespeare, Medieval Literature and the Senior Seminar.
She has published and presented nationally and internationally with topics that range from Chaucer's portraiture and Shakespeare's magic, to the Disney heroines and Frank Sinatra.
She lives in Saybrook Township with her husband Evert and four footed Wolfie and Giggsy. Life is good!
