As a community Kent State University is one of the safest campus in the country and looks to its members to 'stand up' to keeping it safe. Being aware of Kent State policy and dynamics of power-based personal violence and resources for support is the first step in building a safe community. This workshop will share valuable information in identifying harmful behavior, where you can go to inform others and get support and finally action you can take to prevent harm from happening. Building on the Kent State Stand Up message of a unified community of shared respect and responsibility we will also talk about ways to take action to prevent violence and support those impacted by it.
