WHAT ABOUT FINANCIAL AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS?
Financial aid is typically available and questions can be answered by Tara Jackson.
EMBA scholarships are awarded to a limited number of students with excellent credentials. Scholarship dollar amounts vary; however, the maximum scholarship will be no more than 20 percent of the total EMBA program fee.
Both private and Stafford student loans are available. Contact Tara Jackson at the KSU Financial Aid Office for more information, 330-672-0516 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
DO I HAVE TO TAKE THE GMAT?
For applicants with ten years plus business experience the GMAT may be waived. Please submit your resume and transcripts to the EMBA Program Director for a waiver determination.
For those required to take the GMAT, it is now offered electronically. Visit www.mba.com for updated information and a practice test.
GMAT AND GPA ADMISSION CRITERIA.
There is no minimum GMAT score or GPA required for admission to the program. The admissions committee considers many factors as it evaluates prospective students, including work history, letters of reference and other non-academic achievements. Plus to ensure that the candidate is a good fit for the program and vice versa a personal interview finalizes the process.
EMBA PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND SCHOOLING.
An undergraduate degree in business is not necessary. We encourage students with varied backgrounds to apply. We place a great deal of emphasis on work history and generally require a minimum of five years of work experience. All EMBA students complete the same 39 hours of coursework. This is an advantage for non-business undergrads who would be required to complete 48 hours of coursework in the Part-time MBA Program.
WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS EXPERIENCE (IBE)?
The IBE is a 10-11 day business excursion abroad. A cultural learning experience that encompasses both work and cultural visits. The cost of the trip is included in tuition and fees. Past IBE destinations include India, Brazil, Chile, Portugal, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, France, Switzerland and China.
